The designer of the Star Wars character Yoda based his eyes on whose? Answer

The primary designer of the Star Wars character Yoda was Stuart Freeborn, a renowned makeup artist. When creating Yoda's unique appearance for "The Empire Strikes Back," Freeborn drew inspiration from a rather unexpected source for the wise Jedi Master's eyes: Albert Einstein. Freeborn had a photograph of the iconic physicist in his workspace and was particularly struck by the thoughtful and intelligent look in Einstein's eyes.

Freeborn incorporated the distinctive wrinkles around Einstein's eyes into Yoda's design, aiming to give the character a sense of profound wisdom and age. This detail, combined with other features Freeborn modeled partly on his own face, helped to create the memorable and expressive look of the beloved Jedi Master. The intention was to convey Yoda's deep understanding and long history through his very appearance, and the influence of Einstein's eyes played a significant role in achieving this.
